March 23, 2008
17th of Adar II, 5768
I hope everyone had a Happy Purim.
I wanted to remind those of you in the area that the 2008 Manhattan Premiere of Lonely Man of Faith  will be held tomorrow night, Monday, March 24th (18th night of Adar II), at The Jewish Center, on 131 W. 86th St.   The screening will begin at 7:30 PM, and I will be conducting Q/A afterward.  Tickets can be ordered by clicking here or by calling 212-724-2700.  They may sell out and will be more expensive at the door, so I recommend you purchase tickets in advance.
For those interested, I've created a Facebook event for the screening (although it doesn't reserve you a ticket).
Tuesday, April 1st (26th night of Adar II), will again be the long-awaited Chicago Premiere.  The  screening is presented by the Chicago Rabbinical Council and Ida Crown Jewish Academy, and will take place at 7 PM at Congregation K.I.N.S., 2800 W. North Shore Ave.  I will be on a panel together with Rabbi Gedalia Dov Schwartz, Av Beit Din of the cRc.  The event is free and separate seating is available.  For more information, call ICJA at (773) 973-1450 or the cRc at (773) 465-3900.
Here's the Facebook event
April 24th, there will be a screening at the Cinematheque in Rosh Pina, Israel.  More information to follow.
And, mark your calendars, on June 29th and July 3rd, the film will be back in Boston at the Museum of Fine Arts.
I'd appreciate it if you could forward this email or the Facebook events on to anyone else who might be interested.  And here's a link to the Facebook group for the film.
Again, if anyone is interested in organizing a screening outside of Israel, contact Matt Stein
For screenings within Israel, contact Hedva Goldschmidt, of Go2Films.
Lastly, I wanted to bring your attention to the website,, which attempts to be a resource on Rabbi Soloveitchik and his teachings.  The site is not officially affiliated with the film, but it does have some useful information and seems to be updated on a regular basis.

All the best,
Ethan Isenberg
